[July 29th Webinar Recording] The Challenge of Measuring the Impact of Research: Could the US be Falling Behind?

Measuring and describing research impact has often been a difficult task for foundations. In the US, bibliometrics are often cited to show the significance of research projects, which has distorted how we define research impact. In this webinar we discuss how impact is measured outside the US and how it’s intended to capture the richness of the research process.

We also hear from Jackie Hausman from the Kenneth Rainin Foundation as she explains their journey to broaden measuring impact of their research funding and how it is critical to informing their strategy, attracting new researchers to the field, and inspiring new collaborations.
